Big Big Congrats!

30 days is a long long time for a drunk to be sober.

Physically, imo....you are clean as a whistle. Mentally...the brain needs its happy sauce.

It took me many many months to stabilize to an acceptable mental level most of the time.

I made it 8 months clean about 20 years ago. It was so easy...i decided I could start again and quit if I needed to....wrong!

This last quit...2 years ago...was hell on earth. I could have easily ended up in the looney bin.

So, that was scary.

I respect and fear booze now. I will never drink again.

Thanks.
I have had many a replase and to be honest now I have found them very useful - it's totally apparent that i for one hit it harder, much harder ..after any time sober.I cannot imagine how bad it will be if I relapse again

Wise words - respect and fear ,never thought that way but so true

Thanks !

Congratulations! Yep, in hungover state I often used to forget whether I'd already given the dog his breakfast and once I looked into his big brown eyes.....I think he got quite a few double breakfasts in my drinking days! He is perhaps the only member of the family not loving my sobriety have a great weekend

I'm in for the ride, yes was really tough but if tomorrow and the day after and the day after that are tough then so be it!

One day it will be easier for us and just 'normal' :-),until then I'll be here laughing, screaming or crying!

Congrats to you too - never again will be month one at least!
