1 whole month alcohol free.
I have been sober for 1 month. This is the first time in over 7 years. Iv had a tough time. Loosing both my parents and grandma in 12 months and as an only child I felt lost. My husband suffered a breakdown and serious mental health issues resulting to him trying to commit suicide. My youngest started to self harm and starve herself. She was diagnosed anorexic 18mnth ago. Through all this i picked everyone up and ran my own business. And gradually the drinking increased. I didn't have time to grieve to cry to be sad. So I drunk everyday to smile to put on that brave face and to keep going. Then I looked in the mirror one day and didn't recognise myself. Bloated tired unhappy ;( so I did it just like that.... iv been sober for 1 month. I've lost 10lb and saved about £400. My family problems haven't gone away... but I see things clearer and we will get there xxx

Congrats on one month!!! That is awesome. And problems are easier to deal with when your mind is clear.
Isn't it amazing how even a short time without alcohol can affect your appearance. My face has thinned out and my stomach is no longer bloated!!

Congratulations!
Im sorry for all the struggle that surrounds you. Sometimes life feels like its throwing us insurmountable problems. Personally, when I removed alcohol the larger than life problems seemed more manageable, to a degree.
Onward and Upward!

Congratulations Traci...30 days is fantastic!
I'm sorry for all that you are going through...grief can do a job on us...especially when we drown the sorrow.
Keep up the good work...it sounds that you are needed in a big way. Most importantly, take care of yourself. It's easy to forget about ourselves and attempt to fix everything around us. Take time for yourself...we are here when you need us.
Big hugs!
