Feeling Proud

I attended a BBQ tonight alcohol was flowing (excessive) shots, vodka, cocktails etc i didnt touch a drop not even tempted
I instead took the kids to a local rugby match took them back had a burger and cup cake chatted for a bit and left
Day 11 completed onto Day 12
Not one of my friends offered me a drink or took notice i wouldnt even touch a soft drink they just carried on with themselves (they know my situation and dont draw attention to it)
This is a achievement in itself as im always the mad one who gets drunk first etc

Night night all heres to a fresh head tomorrow something my dear friends will not have eeekkkkk

Why n where have these sugar cravings come from ive always been a savoury person now i need a sugar fix daily ?

Thank you x

Rugby's a great game!

Good job.

Don't worry about the freaking sugar cravings right now....you're eleven days away from your last drink. You have plenty of time to worry about sugar!!

Great news FB. Congratulations on 12 days.

I favoured savoury then to ice cream when I stopped.

There is I heard a tablespoon of sugar in a beer. You crave sweets now because you used to get it from the alcohol. It gets better. Your self esteem and pride will grow going forward as you remain sober. congrats

Hey, great job! I had sugar cravings as well, especially for ice cream which I hadn't had for years.

Congrats on 11 days!!!!!! I was also a savoury person that rarely ate sweets. Chocolate is my go to now, and yes it's our body craving the sugar it used to get from alcohol!!!

Hi All

Firstly thank you i do have great will power and once i stop something thats it however in 3/4 months i will probably get bored (i done this when heavy training in boxing few years back stopped alcohol but wasnt as bad then) n then i think 1 drink is ok then bang slowly but surely im sat on my own supping alone !! Hence why im here and will need you all more than ever if it happens

My sweet craving.... either a handful of sweets, biscuits or yesterday a small cupcake...... i also bought 2 easter eggs (small) as they were half price (ut oh)

Dee i dont have children i have 2 dogs that i treat as babies though (hand over face) i took my friends boys to watch the game along with dogs it was great

Ive never needed a drink more i want one is there a difference? Im not sure but either way right now i dont want or need im quite happy to sit back watch others act the clown n them to wake up hanging whilst im fresh 😁

Have a great day x

(Sleep improved last night no nap yesterday and a full 6.5 hours straight) wwwooohhhhooooooo
