Hi everyone! It's been a while since I checked in - I've been at IOP 3 nights a week, back running my business, have a AA home group and sponsor. I'm so happy to share that last Saturday marked 60 days sober. Thanks to all for your support especially during those first few weeks post rehab when my business partner abruptly left. We have a separation agreement finalized and although a very hurtful experience I was able to deal with it sober! I'm hopeful about the future and chance to rebuild a better business that will support the sober me!

Congrats. Just remember the stressors and a dangerous time for relapse (for me) is when everything is going well and the 'I am in control now- I can control how I drink' thought creeps in.

That sounds great. "Staying the course" may not be exciting or sexy, but its predictable and calming. Very few surprises and some people (like myself) like that.

Thanks to everyone for replying! I'm a big fan of a calm staying the course life. I don't miss the drama, hangovers, shame and anxiety. I've tackled rough days by getting to a meeting and not letting my AV convince me that I can't do this.
