What's up!!
Just wanted to check in and say this 72 days has had it's ups and downs,but know this it's feels good to be doing something good for myself.I know the benefits and rewards will be all worth it.when I think about all the good times and precious moments that I missed with my family and friends because of my drinking it shakes me.but it's all good one day at a time.got 72 looking forward to 72 more and more. Wishing everyone a safe Holiday seasons, and trust and believe I know some of us will struggled but it's the struggle that makes us strong. TODAY I DID NOT DRINK

my experience is the benefits and rewards are even better when im doing something good for others

Great job on nearly 3 months. Imo...It is pretty much a mental process now.
I've learned here that hell on earth awaits those that elect to relapse.
Booze is a mind altering toxin that, for us, is a path towards a life of anxiety.
We are lucky to have learned this now. Some folks are addicted well into their 70s and 80s.
Then they go crazy w all the meds the dr. Gives them.
We are lucky to get a chance to stop now...
As i got cleaner and cleaner...it has felt like I shed the old me and a better, new me was born.
I feel as though the old me was a shell. That shell was sickly and weak.
As my body and eventually mind cleared, to this phase at 18 months, I see a dramatic difference in every interaction and reaction.
Everything is better.
Stay clean. The real break through for me was 1 year.
