50 Weeks

I am at 50 weeks sober now.

Had my counseling session this past Friday. We reviewed my progress and getting through my two biggest events to date (conference in California and Wedding with all pub friends). We talked about the upcoming year milestone and my thoughts about it.

Honestly when I started this journey I was just trying to (and still) just make it one day at a time. A year seemed so far away. While I am proud at my progress thus far, I told my counselor that there is no finish line in my mind. Getting to a year will be great but then I need to make sure to get through the next year. So I still have my guard up so to speak.

We also talked about tweaking my plan every now and then so as not to get complacent. IMO Complacency just invites the AV to start stirring and I do not want that.

So stick to your plans my peeps - we can do this!

You are nearing a huge milestone but really have the great attitude that sticking to a plan is so important. Thank you for the inspiration!

Yay for 50 weeks! I'd spoil myself in some way, even if I didn't share that milestone with anyone but myself and SR.
