AA Remix
This is for anyone who, like me, thought AA "wasn't for me." I half-heartedly tried in 2007, 2010, and 2014. But those people were "advanced" alcoholics, nothing like me! A few weeks ago after yet another failure, and realizing I too am now reaching the advanced phase, I forced myself to go every night for 10 days. And I feel inspired, helped, and accountable. I love SR, but without showing up and facing people, and hearing them tell you to come back, I slip back into anonymity and drinking.
I've got a ton of work to do and need as many tools in my toolbox I can get, but I am glad I gave AA another shot, and would encourage anyone who isn't sold to try it again and see if you gain something this time around.

I did the same thing, half heartedly "tried" it for two years....hated it. Came up with every reason why I hated it and it would never work for me. In my case, it was my addiction fighting it I believe. This time when I got serious it stuck, and if I miss a meeting I usually go to I feel off. I get that it still won't be for everyone, but I agree with you 100% that anyone on the fence about it could greatly benefit by giving it another shot.
