Posting in 'the wrong forum'
Not sure if the lighthearted remark was at me, I honestly didn't know and I wasn't dismissing the topic. I've also not seen anyone other than a moderator suggest another section for people to post in. Some of us are still new and struggle to keep up, and don't know too much bulletin board etiquette.
I apologise as I may have been guilty of that.
Genuinely because I have felt that there are people in other areas who don't come on this part of the forum that can help but it was thoughtless as yes, I can see it may come over as 'you're not welcome here'.
I promise I'll be more thoughtful from now on!

I've been here for about 4 years now and I don't think I'll ever stop spending time in the Newcomers forum. It's vitally important to me to remember why I'm here in the first place, and I think the only way you can do that is to spend time with those who are new to sobriety. It's also an opportunity to help others, which in itself is a key piece of sobriety.
Thanks to dee Anna and all the mods for the great work they do on here.
