That is exactly how I felt...it was time to pay the piper...I think it is a great way to look at it.
In early recovery, I would eat my weight in sugar every day and in very early recovery I would drink my weight in water.

I started off with ice cream and chocolate, but soon switched to tinned mandarins and banana. Bananas have potassium (apparently) so are really good for making up the shortfall after booze. It passes

Awe Ben 'n Jerry's! I think I shall have to meet up with them again, Soberwolf.
Somewhere inbetween my fruit and frozen berries and yogurt.

I'm in the same boat.

I've been satisfying my sugar jonesing with sugar free gum, protein bars and fruit.

I'm hoping it's only temporary, because with my sugar reactive hypoglycemia I'm not supposed to eat sweets.

HTH!

You are not alone!

I think my diet the first 60 days consisted of ice cream. Ok, overstating it but it was the hugest craving for it that I've ever had.

Starting August 1st I cut it out. I hear that freezing grapes is good for a snack. I've also heard that baking fresh strawberries make them come out like candy.
