I boil my corn. It's better that way. To me anyway.

I'm at home despot with the family. GRRR. Kids are grabbing my soda. And buying wood for a lemonade stand? I know it's weird but I have a phobia about lemonade stands.

Yes cardoon...bpa and the other chemicals. There may be no science for my thinking. But it is said we shouldn't even drink water in plastic bottles if it's been in a hot car...

Making a lemonade stand sounds fun, Ruby! What's your phobia? That a clown will appear?

haf, you should research the steamer bags. They're specially made just for microwave cooking. You can do crazy things with them like cooking a frozen chicken breast in 6 minutes and it's still juicy.

Lemonade stands! I think I did that a time or two as a kid.

I never stop at them now, though. Melina will understand. So many ways that can go terribly terribly wrong. Where's your Health Department Card?

My microwave broke 12 years ago. It's a built-in. I'm not paying someone to fix it or take it out. It's a tea, rice, and cereal storage place now. I don't miss it, and I needed the storage.

scary about the bear attack... wife wants to be in a place where we can x-country ski in winter... not around here... and it costeses money to go somewhere around here - like north...
yet she doesn't want to move somewhere where it's cold... okay...

she's awake and I asked where is the rest of the paper... oh, please do a page count and add paper to the printer if it needs it - thank you

ah, I just checked the rice and it's ready - perfect rice! I get it perfect about 1 out of twenty times, that's maybe three times a year...
I just eyeball some water in the pan, when it boils I toss in some rice and hope... hahahaha
I made a killer shrimp stir fry, used peppers from garden and I was kind enough to pick out the cayenne I used after it was cooked so she doesn't get a surprise at work...
I'm sitting here sweatin... "weather will be much cooler than yesterday" oh? So I turned off the AC and opened the doors -- it's 90 and humid... much cooler... hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I didn't want to get in on the plastic discussion lunar cause I was thinking the same exact thing... cars are the worst...

so I decided to pick up that pepper I picked out of the stir fry, then insert between teeth and scrape off what was left from the skin... it might be a couple hours before I can taste anything or feel my lips... doh!

news flash, doors and windows closed - air conditioner turned on, film at eleven

back to my tour guide duties, thinking about spending the night in NYC and do the museum mile the next day, then drive home... hopefully can find something that won't break the bank to do in the evening...

Home from church and I made it with time to spare even!

There's all these different birds gathered on one flimsy branch out back. It's like a caucus or something! Even a hummingbird is joining in! If only we humans could be like that. Can't we all just get along?

Corn tortillas with cheese and the obligatory fruit for lunch!

Oh, on lemonade stands....I generally just donate a dollar or whatever and toss the drink. We always had them as kids and the neighbors would give us money out of pity lol! Good times!

L a good indicator for rice is for every standard cup of rice use 2 cups of water

So half a cup of rice will need 1 cup of water

We tried cauliflower rice tonight as we are on a no carb diet just food blend it & cook it in a lil butter so so awesome

Whew. That's over. He took it pretty well up until the end, then he kinda lost it. I said we could stay in touch, but I'm not sure he wants to. He's a good guy, just not as a boyfriend for me right now. Or probably ever. He's too intense. I'm scared of that, rightfully, I think.

Anyway. Relief. Now I need food.
