Ok something must be seriously wrong with my brain cause I can hardly remember last week much less how many posts and when the flip was! I need to get busy on my brain exercises I guess.

Yay! Wolfie's come over to the (tofu) dark side!

I'm procrastinating getting ready for church. My hair is soaking wet and I have to leave in a little over an hour! It'll take almost that long just to dry it. Why didn't I get up earlier???

I think restaurants bake/roast corn because it's easy to do in those big convection ovens. I prefer my corn boiled, to be honest. It's plumper and moister (more moist?) I'm with 7775, five minute bath - just to warm it up. I don't like restaurant corn on the cob, and wouldn't order it in a restaurant. It would be hard to boil two hundred ears of corn every day, though - and it's going to sit in a steam tray all day anyway. Kinda ruins it.

At the parachute center on Sunday nights we threw them in the fire, wrapped in foil with beer poured in as the steamer. Mmm beer corn. Oops. We were already marinated, so too late.

Olive, your vacay sounds lovely. You, too, Big S. Hard to believe that Colombia has become a holiday destination but I've been reading great things about it.

So-so sleep on this end. Hate when that happens on a weekend.

Meeting a friend later to see "Absolutely Fabulous." Something tells me those two characters won't inspire any desires to drink.

Getting ready to go have my talk with Handyman. Yikes! He's not going to take it well, I think. Maybe I'll be surprised, but if last week's meltdown is any indication, I'm sure it's going to be rough.

I'm glad I hiked this morning. I needed to formulate what I'm going to say - I think clearly when hiking.

Good luck marty! Don't let him push you around with emotional dramas and emotional manipulation- because that's what it is.

Just remembering the guy that did that to me; makes me want to punch him in the face.
Like wtf are you crying about? Get a grip
But enough about me!
Be strong and stay true to yourself ( which we know you will)

Marty, handyman has only been in the picture a couple months? and he is that clingy already? apply the breaks hard, don't pump them any more...
lunar interesting information on corn silk.... hmmmm... I knew about golden seal root... but maybe it might be something to keep handy...
if you ever had a cystography performed, you never want to go through it again... I'll spare you the details, but I think I'd rather just die first than to have that done again...

oh Bim... I think it's 'moistier'

oh, and after I reviewed a 'paper' I see it is not the full paper...
that means, she was awake for over 22 hours yesterday, went to bed at 730, needs to wake up at 130, finish paper and then go to work at 230... looks like my plans are to stay close and be at the ready...

Brain I was happy about rain last night too for the same reason.
Windows open- no neighbours fires.
The strange thing is that I don't hear a peep from them- no talking, nothing.
Its like they just sit there silently.
Which I'm thankful for- just the fire smoke bothers me.

Bim! I like the photos!

Brynn my house is always full of fresh produce too and there is a lot of pressure haha
That's why I cook at home every night
Plus it forces me to stop working for a bit if I come home for dinner.

Ruby: I'm going to yoga in about an hour.

Brain...a woman runner was attacked by a bear in Valles Caldera a few weeks ago. She survived, barely. That's where I xcountry ski in the winter. It's beautiful there, just up the road from my camping spot.

Brain...how come you gave up cream in your coffee? Just wondering. ..

I just woke up from a delightful nap. I was so happy when I realized it was still Sunday.
Have some grocery shopping to do, I think I'll get something indulgent. Ice cream maybe. Turkey burger for dinner. Maybe an ear of corn. By thevway, I wrap it in wet paper towels and microwave it. Or I make it on the grill if I'm grilling.
I love lazy days like this.

OK. Movie set up to watch today is No Escape with Owen Wilson.

Now... time to make anchovy paste for my dish later!

microwave corn is good. Wrap in saran about a minute. Sort of steams it. But it does all come down to how fresh the corn is and what variety, I think.
