44 Hours Sober After 6 Months
Welcome back
My advice is - do something different, man.
Don't just think about doing something different, don't just talk about doing something different...don't just read about it...do it.
Take action - and keep that action going until you know that sober has become a long term way of life for you.
You can do this - it's a lot of sustained effort for a while, but it's worth it

Hi Ghost Face,
I'm sorry you have been struggling, but very glad to see you back. Hang out on here all night if you need to.
I know you can get your sobriety groove back. Sending lots of love your way.
❤️ Delilah

GF - you were doing so well for a while... sorry to hear that you let life overcome you... things happen beyond our control, how we deal with them is up to us,
I know in the past that I would drink at problems... and it didn't take much for me to use most events as an excuse to drink...
having had some time sober, I am able to reflect on the changes I've made, sure, sometimes I still get angry, but I no longer drink at it...
get yourself together, get some more time sober and continue to work on yourself as a human being,
we already know that drinking does nothing to help our problems...
best wishes to you
next time you are teetering on the edge of taking a drink, post here and discuss it first - please

Thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. Today is day 2 and I'm feeling much better. I have convinced my mind that having one drink is a total lie and that I need a change of lifestyle for this to work.
When I got sober the first time, I was still visiting I was still visiting bars and places that I had no business being in. Now I know that all I'm doing so playing with fire.
What really kept me sober was the gym, posting here constantly, and picking up new skills. My anxiety is unbearable right now but I'm holding strong.

Thank you all. I'm wrapping day two have to be up early tomorrow and do community service. My anxiety was terrible at court today but I managed. I just hope things get better with time. See you all tomorrow
Quick update, today i woke up feeling great. I went to volunteer and was even offered a drink and i quickly declined. Im home now about to read and do some cleaning. I remember in my early sobriety the loneliness of being sober but i do want a change of lifestyle and never experience anxiety as bad as i had the past couple of days.
GF glad your feeling good today and welcome back when depression hits me I get busy anxiety is a tough one I tell myself no time for it get on my bike and ride, or turn the music up and get busy cleaning house. There are vids on YouTube about dealing with anxiety you might check some out.
