Sarah Hepola: Ask a Former Drunk

Many on SR have read Sarah Hepola's book, "Blackout." Although I've not read it, I've heard and read interviews with her and find her insights very powerful.

She's started a Q and A blog on drinking and addiction. Thought it would be helpful here:

Ask a Former Drunk: When Do You Know You Have a Problem?

I found her observations to be sharp and candid.

She's amazing! I had the pleasure of attending one of her first appearances/readings for the book (in her hometown w/members of her family present) and got to meet & briefly chat w/her after. It was a powerful event. I devoured the book in just 2 days. I love her perspective & her voice.

Thank you for the link!

Thanks for sharing. Her book was amazing. I read it when i was in the "questioning" phase. I identified so strongly with her that when I finished the book, I had no doubt of my alcoholism.

Fantastic! I read this one, and last week's. I'm looking forward to more from her, and I'll read the book.
