Got Fired (Though as a Bartender)

Hi guys I'm new here. Basically I've known I've had a problem for a LONG time, but now I've just gotten fired (from a drinking-based bartending job) I feel it a good time to try and make the change I know I need. I feel I could never have quit whilst there (drinks constantly thrust upon me), so I'm looking to make the best of it and make a fresh start. Thanks for reading (2 days sober = joint record for this year...)

Welcome!! Maybe one day you will look back and think "man - getting fired from that job was the best thing that ever happened to me!"

Sounds like you're in the right place

When I was younger I partied pretty hard, but what I would consider normal. Since I was a bodybuilder, I got a job bouncing at the biggest bar in our college town. In 3 months I felt like the biggest loser in the world. The lifestyle these folks lived was insane. Wake up at 3PM, be at work by 7, bar close, after party, go to bed at 6-7am totally messed up. Get up, repeat. Wasn't for me.
