I am 29 weeks sober now. I have a counseling session set for this Friday and I will continue those as part of my plan.

My goal of getting back in shape is paying off as I am now down 19 lbs from when I started. I had to buy new shorts for the summer and have had many compliments which has been nice. I say that here only because it fuels my motivation to continue to improve and not mess up the hard work I have already put in.

I did have a business meeting after hours this past week where I had to quickly put my AV in check. This is a sponsored event = free alcohol and normally something i would have taken advantage of. I had a slight panic when I though someone was going to order shots. I remained calm, had my cran and soda water and made sure to network/talk to keep me busy.

Stick to your plans folks....We can do this!

Congratulations! Very inspiring. I think taking pride in our appearance is a great motivator. Whatever works! Obviously recovery can't be all about our outsides but its the icing on the cake so to speak!
