Thanks everyone! Anxiety is better today. Didn't ingest as much caffeine this morning.

Today has been full of tears, be it stifled ones because I am at work.

But it's not just related to getting sober. It's having to do with my mom - she was in the hospital with a stroke but she is out. Those are tears of relief.

Tears of confusion, sadness, heartache having to do with my boyfriend. We are at a crossroads. I told him we either had to be clean together or as much as I love him, to call me when he decides to be sober and clean. He hasn't decided yet what he wants to do. It's a barrel of confusion. He wants to be with me yet he seems not to be ready for a commitment to sobriety. He resents me I think.

Hi pearlady , sorry your feeling over anxious and glad you feel a bit better .
Isn't it good to know that many others suffer with anxiety , you are not alone just as is said in AA . Good advice above about staying away from benzos , I used them during withdrawal for about 3 days but haven't had any since .
I have good and not so good days with anxiety , its quite baffling how it arises out of the blue sometimes when we least expect it . I agree with everyone's reply above and would add that education on how problematic anxiety works is a great help ,at least it is for me. I find https://www.anxietycentre.com/ the best resource on the internet .
