True, but aren't we all winners Jen? Where's my participation ribbon dammit

Hi, all --

The air is hot and soooo heavy here. May be some thunderstorms in a while. Beyonce is scheduled to perform at the open-air stadium this evening ... we'll see how that turns out.

Ruby, I'm sorry you don't feel well. Ugh.

Hope you can get to bed soon, Ruby.

So I'm babysitting nugget this evening. When my daughter dropped her off, she told me she's hearing rumors that her soon-to-be-ex husband's girlfriend is pregnant. This girlfriend was also my daughter's best friend and nugget's godmother. Ugh. What a messed-up situation. I'm so glad I've outgrown that sort of drama.

Yikes!!!!

Drama down in LA too after I told my friend.
They found out that guy has two restraining orders against him
He went crazy and went over to my friends house banging on her door and the girls were inside scared.

welp, thanks for that comment MLD - I was thinking the same thing haha
I'm off to cabelas in the morning- yeah it's a cabelas rod - but not one of the cheap ones - they only handed out 25 year warranties to a couple models... but I learned now that they only offer a one year warranty on everything here on out... but I gotta get what I can out of this... looks like it may be some time before I can get a really sweet rod... but truth is, it ain't the rod that catches fish - it's the guy (gal) holding the rod that catches the fish... however, from reviews of many , these rods rival 800 dollar rods. But just like golf equipment - how did they do it 50 years ago? - would the guys from fifty years ago be setting records every time they played with today's equipment - I think not. Of course there is also junk that makes it a lot more difficult and almost futile.
I found the hole in my waders and now I remember walking into a sticker bush... repair kit on the list... two sets of waders leak, although the hip boots may be trouble trying to fix - I noticed a name tag on the inside that said Name with a line followed by 'is the proud owner of these boots. Yehah, the ones that leaked after two seasons... my next pair of hip boots is gonna be wal-mart specials,
I'm taking up a collection to get a nice set of chest waders. If everyone pitches in 20 bucks I'll almost have enough, and I mean everyone. In fact, make it 30 each. I'll cough up the rest...

hopefully my meat is frozen solid and not all stuck together in the morning--- gotta get up before the dawn and clear everything out for the g-man... then drag that freezer outside. It was a bitch getting in the basement by myself - only three steps so it should be easier to get out than in - it's still on the wooden slats it was shipped in...

I'm living life here -

hope you feel better Ruby, get some rest

Welp, finally home and my headache is back with a vengeance. I ration my migraine meds cause they're so freakin expensive but guess I'll break down and take one.

Thanks for the movie recommendation, Behan. I'll check it out!

Marty, sorry your daughters dealing with all that crap!

I had no idea Hitler was an astronaut! I must've missed that documentary
