Because I'm sober I can wake up clear headed and not filled with anxiety.
I can keep working on saving my marriage
Able to plan and organize and actually remember
This is a sad one...because I'm sober my wife isn't scared to be around me

Because I am sober -
I have hope for the future.
I see beauty and possibility instead of doom and gloom, woe is me.
I am not hiding shame, I can look people in the eye.
I can answer my phone late in the evening.
I am free to make plans to do whatever, whenever, and with whomever, without calculating my need to drink.
I am not constantly worried about the damage alcohol caused to my health.

Did I say I have hope for the future?

I can make plans and commitments because I know I won't have a hangover. I still catch myself thinking I can't get up early and go because I'll be hung over.
