Need Help
My husband of three years is an alcoholic and over the weekend left after an argument. I've not seen him for three days. Just found out that 10 years ago he was addicted to cocaine, alchol and sex addiction, but went to rehab. He took 4600.00 from me and the car. I feel hurt and betrayed. Been crying out of control. I tracked him on my IPHONE 690 miles away, I called the hotel and he hung up. Now he is untrackable because the phone is off. He told his son that he would kill himself. I have sense reported him missing. I am new to all this. Do not know what to do.
So you know what hotel he is in correct? Can you call the front desk and request a well being check? You can tell them that if they do not do a well being check you will be forced to call the police and have the cops show up and do a well being check....I'm sure they don't want the cops showing up making a scene. Other than that....there really is not much you can do. Tough love. When you talk to him let him know you will help him seek treatment. But don't be available to him for him to use you to enable him.
Welcome, Blake!
I think if your husband has threatened suicide, the best thing to do is call the police. The hotel staff are probably ill-equipped to deal with the situation.
Many of us here at this forum are familiar with situations like yours. I hope you read around and post a bit for some support.

I would also suggest calling the police to report his suicide threats. I'm sorry you're going thru this. If he took your car, can you report it as missing? That might help to get your car back.
I'm so sorry you're going through this. I like the idea of a "well check" from the hotel, but I agree with others that you should call the police, too -- and it sounds like you have. If he is truly suicidal, he could also be a danger to others (or maybe I watch too much Dateline...) I hope he contacts you soon so you can at least stop worrying about his mental state. He sounds like a very depressed and angry man. ************{hugs}}}}}}}
