To infinity and beyond!
To infinity and beyond!
Couldn't help myself... That line kept going through my head about starting day 29 and beyond. I figured I would transition to one post for ongoing daily updates rather than a new thread per day.
Today is day 29. Though I've been suffering from a springtime cold for the last few days, which has derailed my workout/training goals, I'm feeling pretty good about my achievements with sobriety to date.
But by no means am I feeling complacent. I know that I must remain vigilant. I have this random fear that I will absent-mindedly accept or take a drink out of habit in some random, rare social encounter before I realize
I've what I've done. This reminds me that I must have a plan as each of the firsts In sobriety approach, like an adult only dinner outing this weekend with friends we haven't seen for a while - and of course it's a birthday celebration for one of them. But I have a plan and all will be well as long as I remain vigilant.
And I will continue to begin each day by placing a stone in my sobriety jar and recommitting that today I will not drink.

ah, thanks. Because I'm persnickety (translation anal, as I've affectionately been called) I will probably try tomorrow with a new title to start a personal accountability thread😁
