This tread is cracking me up this afternoon! I'm feeling better and better about myself the further I read. I have all my teeth, a good job and I'm still in my 30s. There is hope for me after all lol.

If I decide to date again ever, I'll probably do the dating site thing. I know most of the eligible men in my small town - no keepers. The good ones are married, and I won't go there. I did once, unbeknownst to me! That guy was so nice to me - I should have known something wasn't right...

There's a dating site for people over 50. That's where I belong. Maybe some divorced guy with grown kids and a real job is looking for a friend to travel and snuggle with, without marriage.

Yes exactly!

Speaking of the protection thing.....
I was in Cambodia; picked myself up an awesome Cambodian boyfriend, rode around on his motobike, drank a bunch of local moonshine, and ended up doing some weird local drug.
Anyway- add in a couple broken condoms and I was in a panic, its an HIV endemic zone
So I got home and went to get tested.
The doctor asked why I was getting a test.
I told him I was travelling and had a little " accident" with the protection.
He asked where- I said Cambodia
He looked concerned and asked " not with a local though right?!"
Me: * gulp* " um yeah"
His face looked really concerned and he was like " uh yeah, you need to get tested right away"
Worst 6 months of my life- theres a 6 month window where you can keep testing negative even if you have it :
Luckily all was well. Phew, scary scary.

Yes me too!

I took a course at uni a couple semesters ago " the anthropology of HIV/ AIDS"
The medications have gotten so advanced I'd rather have HIV than diabetes actually.
Though its nice to not have either!!

Brynn - girls are allowed to wear bikinis pretty much anywhere. It's a double standard designed by men.
