I just got hit by a truck!
A friend once told me that if it can be fixed by money it's an expense, not a problem. Consider yourself lucky you weren't injured! You are facing an inconvenience luckily, not a "problem" in that sense. Glad you're not feeling the urge to drink over it.
I just had a phone interview with the insurance claims adjuster. After giving my statement, she said the trucker was in the wrong for pulling out of the driveway in front of me.
Then I got a call from the repair place and am going out there soon to get an estimate.
I will have to pay the deductible but hopefully can be reimbursed by the other insurance company.

My insurance agent said that they would go after the trucker's insurance company for the repair costs and would also go after them to reimburse me for my deductible.
I don't have rental coverage so will be without a car for a couple weeks. But my brother can take me to the store when I need to go.

Not taking the truck drivers inventory but, if he has any moving violations on his record, he's going to lie about this.
On your first post you said he pulled out in front of you but, you said he hit your rear door and fender. Was he going thru a intersection? Trying to figure out where you were going as opposed to where he was going.
