I just got hit by a truck!
Was going the speed limit and had my lights on and a semi pulled out in front of me and scraped the rear door and fender.
In the old days, I would have used that as an excuse to get drunk. Not anymore. I have no desire to drink over it.
I wasn't hurt, but shook up and mad at now having to have my car fixed.
Just glad I feel no need to drink.

I'm not hurt, just shook up and pissedoff that my nice new car is damaged. He gave me his insurance info and I gave that info to my insurance company. He was at fault. Now I just have to wait until I can get if fixed.
Its ok. Your new car will be fixed soon and back to new! It could have been a lot worse, you could have been hurt, or your car could have been totaled. You said it was only a scratch so at least your car can and will be fixed. Stay positive even though the situation sucks. Glad you are ok.
Something to consider when dealing with auto claims - many are not aware of this and it may or may not apply in your state. Years back, I received additional money over and above the actual repair loss due to diminished value. Below is a basic DV definition that's a starting point if you're not familiar with the concept.
Best of luck....
