Unhappy I just got hit by a truck!

Was going the speed limit and had my lights on and a semi pulled out in front of me and scraped the rear door and fender.

In the old days, I would have used that as an excuse to get drunk. Not anymore. I have no desire to drink over it.

I wasn't hurt, but shook up and mad at now having to have my car fixed.

Just glad I feel no need to drink.

I'm not hurt, just shook up and pissedoff that my nice new car is damaged. He gave me his insurance info and I gave that info to my insurance company. He was at fault. Now I just have to wait until I can get if fixed.

Glad you are okay, Least. That's what we have insurance for! What's outstanding is the fact that you didn't want to drink over it; that is what recovery is all about!

Geez, I was thinking this was a simile...but you were actually hit by a truck!

So glad you're okay...encounters with a semi aren't usually that way.

Sending you a hug.

Its ok. Your new car will be fixed soon and back to new! It could have been a lot worse, you could have been hurt, or your car could have been totaled. You said it was only a scratch so at least your car can and will be fixed. Stay positive even though the situation sucks. Glad you are ok.

So glad you weren't hurt. Cars can be be repaired. Back in the bad old days I would have been in jail because even if it is not your fault, drunk driving is drunk driving

Something to consider when dealing with auto claims - many are not aware of this and it may or may not apply in your state. Years back, I received additional money over and above the actual repair loss due to diminished value. Below is a basic DV definition that's a starting point if you're not familiar with the concept.

Best of luck....

Life throw us many many curve balls. Living
a life in sobriety helps us deal with those
curve balls on lifes term's incorporating
a program of recovery.

Im so happy to hear that you didn't get
hurt because a car can be replaced, but
YOU as a wonderful Sober SR Member
and friend can't be.
