Three Year Soberversary
Three Year Soberversary
Hard to believe, but I've made it. Life's good which I can only attribute to getting sober. Good job, out of debt with a rising credit score, depression pretty much beat. I've finally become true to myself and stopped trying to be who others wanted.
Much thanks to this forum as it's been my primary support even though I don't post much.

2b,
Just went back through your recovery journey here.
32 posts. I didn't initially believe it.
3 years clean is a reality.
I thought there was a power in reading and posting here in SR.
I tried to explain to the folks at my last AA meeting 4 months ago. They didn't seem to get it.
You are a role model of how to stay sober using the power of the internet as a tool.
Thanks.

D122y, My way may not be for everyone. I did do a bit of reading of Rational Recovery in my beginning months which helped as well . I'm very much a loner and an introvert so SR works with my personality.
AA's great for many - it's too social for me so I sought different methods. It did keep me sober for 8 or so months about 15 years ago though.
