Fuzzy sober brain!!!!!!

I feel like I'm losing my mind!!! I have forgotten my password at work for MYOB that I've had for about 5 years, and I log on at least 10 times + a day LOL!! I literally cannot remember it!!!Forgot it suddenly on Thursday and it's gone!!!! Feel like someone has taken possession of my brain!! HAHA
Then to top it off, I gave my poor little puppy one of my diazepam tablets instead of her antibiotic tablets!!!! After a hysterical phone call to the vet, all is well and luckily it's safe for her!!! She did have a good nights sleep!
Has anyone else found themselves doing the most ridiculous things during early recovery? I honestly have to laugh....It's crazy!!!! I'd like those brain cells back asap!!!

Yep, it has been happening to me. In some ways I feel sharper but in others it's a real fog. 40 days sober here.

I've forgotten passwords but I relax and they come to me in a few minutes. or the next day.

Yes, I've had a fuzzy head in the beginning. It comes back. Just relax. Take your time.

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Mine was like that during my sober hours while I was in my drinking days.

Keep the faith! Our long-sober buddies here promise us we will soon be able to spell our own names again!

Congratulations on 9 days, Nic!

Just out of curiosity, are you an accountant using MYOB or do you own your own firm?

As your brain gets used to normal functioning, the fogginess and confusion will go away. Give yourself more sober time. It will get better.
