Thank you so much for sharing that post, I felt like I was reading an autobiography for much of it (minus the possibility of the Olympics, my athletic ability was never quite at that level!!!) I am 45 years old and on day 6 after many failed attempts at sobriety. I too had no problem remaining sober during pregnancies/nursing, and other than that a few stretches of weeks or months.

Your post may have been just the inspiration I needed to turn 6 days into 6years and beyond..

Just an FYI, there's a sobriety calculator on this website, and when I used the ‘Sobriety Calculator’ on this website, it showed a Sobriety Date of 8/11/15 would be 148 days today. Using 8/10/15, you would have 149(!) days today. Whoopee, I just gave you a gift of another sober day! Regarding rigorous honesty and accountability: 8/10/15 or 8/11/15 matters not at all; I’m referring to your profile here which states your ‘Sobriety Date’ as February 14, 2014; that you might want to update your profile to reflect your correct date.
