"Everyone drinks...."
Thank you so much for sharing that post, I felt like I was reading an autobiography for much of it (minus the possibility of the Olympics, my athletic ability was never quite at that level!!!) I am 45 years old and on day 6 after many failed attempts at sobriety. I too had no problem remaining sober during pregnancies/nursing, and other than that a few stretches of weeks or months.
Your post may have been just the inspiration I needed to turn 6 days into 6years and beyond..
Congratulations on 148 days, and thank you for inspiring me, and I am sure many others!

That was beautiful. I am actually crying right now.
Im sure like many others, they saw pieces of themselves in that eloquent post.
Im battling the AV right now. I haven't had a day one in what seems like forever since I can't seem to remember anymore. I really want today to be my day one and your post inspired me.
Thank You.

Simply beautiful. Seems like you had an epiphany. I've been there too. Self-compassion is essential and you've reached that point. Words are inadequate to describe what you have achieved. It only gets better and better and better....!
