It's Day 3 and I'm doing alright for the most part! Although I had unexpected triggers while reading a book (there was a scene where people were in a tavern) and while watching Downton Abbey when the staff were celebrating downstairs. It's actually kinda comical the strangest places where I can get triggered.

It goes to show that despite my heart truly desiring a more authentic spiritual sober life, my brain would find clever unsuspecting ways to try sabotage that. But doing good and grateful for the forum for being here.



Btw, season 6 first episode of Downton is pretty good! Looks like a promising final season.

Empath- completely understand about the sneaky places triggers will reveal themselves. I keep telling myself just a little bit longer and works for while but without warning the most in unsuspecting thing can have alcohol at the forefront. I imagine this will dissipate as time rolls on. Happy your doing well and find this site helpful. I most definitely agree!! Well 24 hours down and 24 to go. All can manage at moment. That's ok. Take care out there.

Tonight while walking home in the crisp night air a smile sneaked upon my face just for the sheer joy of knowing that I am on the right path. The wind blew through my hair like a kiss from Spirit as I thought to myself, "I am getting closer to Heaven." Something responded inside me, "What is Heaven to you?" and I replied from my heart, "Peace and Joy." Yes I am one step closer Home.

Day 4 today. And onward march.
