Filling the Nights

Hello All,

I am glad to be back again, day three in the books and as soon as I log off I am going to get back to my book. I found an app called Udemy, it has a ton of classes you can take online, most of which can help improve skills at work. Many are on sale for $10 right now if anyone is looking for something to pass the time, and learn something new at the same time.

I signed up for four classes, and they are go at your own pace.

Another great app for passing the time is Goodreads, you can track all of the books you are reading and find suggestions for new books based on your interest. I always pull it up when I am at the library, or in the bookstore. Last year I read fifty books, I am going to try to break the goal this year!

Hope everyone is doing well! :-)

Thanks for the suggestions, Delilah. Those are great ideas. Good job in day 3. I always found filling the evening hours a challenge in the beginning but classes you can do at your own pace is a good thing.

Coursera has free online classes too, some really good ones!
I took one on human trafficking and it was amazing!

You can have reasons, or you can have results, but you can't have both.

Thanks for sharing these great ideas. I'm kind of a nerd so learning activities are right up my alley!

Filling the nights will be a challenge for me too. I'm a very good Scrabble player so one of my ideas is to study the game properly, and then go forth to deliver even more stunning defeats to anyone who dares play me! LOL!

I dug out a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle and the hours flew past for several days. Going to search the charity shops for more!

OMG I didn't know you could do free online courses. And great idea about reading. I love to read but don't prioritise it enough.

I LOVE goodreads. I end up listening to alot of audiobooks while I knit too.
I signed up for an online herbal class last year and haven't done much with it yet. That is on my list o things to do the next few months while my kids are in school. I need a quieter setting than them running circles around me if I'm going to learn anything. Lol!
Thanks for sharing Delilah!

Congrats on Day 3.

That reminds me...I desperately need to update my Goodreads lists.

I love Pinterest, too. I've got around 3500 pins now. Amazing!

When I had my good run a while ago I did a few free online courses. I really enjoyed them, and felt like I was achieving something positive.

edx.org has some really good quality ones.

if you google mooc - massive open online courses there are heaps. Thankyou for reminding me about them.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I know I can keep busy with work, but having fun and interesting distractions help, and write now so does my lemon water!! Five days done, onward and upward.:/)

Udemy has some great classes. I took several of them while I was working on my degree.
