Vona: So glad you're feeling better. But once you start feeling better this can be a very dangerous time since there is a very real danger of relapse. The best way to guard against this is to seek the company and support of other recovering alcoholics, preferably of the same gender and with some progress in sobriety. AA is a good place to find them and at the beginning just go to as many meetings as possible even though some may make you feel uncomfortable. Go for the companionship and to keep yourself from drinking. You can sort out other issues later. Be with people and away from alcohol. Consult your doctor about a drug which helps guard against cravings. Be with people. Don't isolate. And do keep posting on SR. We're here to help in any way we can. 24/7. May the sun come out for you in the New Year and may the wind be always at your back, your path up the mountain becoming easier and smoother as you get into recovery. Every good wish.

W.
