It takes only - oh - 3 major sets of Keyboards to get the Sound that Jeff wants. And, a buncha Strings.

The Sound Engineer was busy Mixing, fo sho.

Adele on the Radio right now. Major Pipes...

I'll never forget my first Tech Training in Kobe circa '83. Slow going. The Group Mentality is that everyone must understand before you move on. For an older Guy versed only in Vacuum Tubes, it was challenging to teach Digital Electronics Troubleshooting.

Come time for Tea, the one Woman in the Shop made it. She had a full blown Doctorate Degree. So, Tea Duty it was. To serve a bunch of 2 Year Electronics Guys holding the equivalent to our AA Degree here. This is why so many Women jumped Ship to American, and other, Companies there. It was one way to break through their significant, Culturally-imposed 'Glass Ceiling' there. I learned to bite my Lip a fair amount. 'Ugly Americans' are not effective Teachers.

It's a Big Ole World out there...

Oh, I wanted to comment on Eartha Kitt. She was one of my heroines. Mixed race, saucy, sexy even in the 1950s when it was pretty verboten to be that lively. She was a great early sort of feminist with an edge.

I love the Santa Baby song - and it still holds up today. She lost a lot by standing up against the Vietnam war back in the 60s when I was about the age of her son. She spoke out at the White House and received all kinds of backlash.

Anyway, thanks to Monica for posting that song. The pictures that accompanied the video took me back.

Just wolfed down an avocado, a grapefruit, and a huge pile of brussels sprouts.

Pie and chai for dessert. And it rhymes!

Beautiful - love it. Very soulful, gospel sound. Good to see white boys getting their teeth into that.

Interesting, Jen. So I guess he's writing about being in withdrawal? And about being in the place where he knows he'll die if he keeps drinking, but he wants nothing more than a drink.

Pertinent to the forums, no doubt.

I'm stalled in my proofreading course. There's a technical glitch caused by a recent update that won't let me proceed forward to the next unit.

*tapping fingers*

Guess I'll have some patience, relax, and read something for fun tonight.

Oh, Mesa ... funny stuff. I tried turning on my little Eton radio this morning. Nothing. No power. I checked; it was plugged into the outlet. I moved the knob back and forth, still, nothing.

The Bumtrons did something to it last night.

I finally wiggled the power cord where it plugs into the back. Fixed it.

Those sneaky Bumtrons...

Has anyone read Crime and Punishment? I keep meaning to read it. I bought a copy.

Jen, I've got War and Peace. Haven't read a page of it yet.

Two words... sushi coma.

All-you-can-eat sushi was a huge success. Did we overdo it on the amount of food we consumed? Of course. Was it worth it? Definitely!

One of my clients gave me a homemade organic ground coffee bean and coconut oil body scrub for xmas!
Super excited to try it out.
My business is eco friendly and I make all my products so sometimes the creative clients make me stuff like that because they know I'm into that kind of thing! Its awesome

Have fun tonight Marty! And sorry about all the horrific ex SIL stuff. Keep yourself safe.

Finally done for the day! I'm totally prepared for tomorrow.....even got my nails done, although I did a matte this time and I'm not that crazy about it.

Dinner tonight will be cheese, pears and petit fours. Or maybe just petit fours....I think I've run out of steam to even slice the cheese and pear! Lol

Oh, I absolutely love pears and cheese.

Today I ate kiwifruit with bites of cheese.
