When in doubt, Power Cycle anything. Mine plugs in. In your case, remove and reinstall the Batteries after ~2 Minutes.
The floating Screen tells me the Box is not 'seeing' the Internet Connection IF the Power Cycling doesn't work. Unplug and re-plug the 'Net Connection. If it's Wireless through a Router - as mine is - Power Cycle the Router.

Omg, omg. I hope there's an explanation for this. MesaMan, you're the tech guy on here -- my Eton solar weather radio just turned itself on. It started playing music by itself just now. I have it set to NPR, and all of a sudden it just came on!! The hair on my arms stood up. I am home alone, Mr. Potamus is gone for the night. This is crazy. There is a knob that you turn to go from Off to On. I wonder, could it have been mostly turned and then somehow just ... knock itself all the way into the On position??

I'm babysitting tonight and he just fell asleep. Behan....best enjoy these few months of junior being immobile! Once they start crawling the party's over! I'm worn out! He's everywhere...pulling up on everything....it's all a death trap!! I'm amazed anyone lives past toddler-hood!

A massive influx of them, causing havoc in all things Lextronix. As you can read in this Thread.
Next, with your Arms outstretched like some Zombie, Bumtrons will cause you to inexorably march toward a large Room nearby in your Bikini where you'll be judged in a Beauty Contest. That last Candy Bar you scarfed will cost you the Competition. That, and your outdated Swimsuit. Steve Harvey will announce the true 'Winner'.
An Alt Techno explanation, since I have 2 of those Radios, is that the Switch was 'barely' in one position. It got bumped just the necessary smidge, and turned on.

H&F ~ I figgered your ROKU plugged in like mine. I didn't want to overlook any Battery-based part of the explanation just in case. Low Tech solutions are often the cure. I just un-jammed the Paper Shredder in a most low Tech way...

It was a terrifying moment right when it happened. Kind of funny now. I actually got up and looked down the hallway!! Lol.
That has never, ever happened before with my little radio. And the song playing was an eerie classical piece, of course.

Hey everyone. I got off work after an annual staff meeting and hit the road home. I retrieved kids and came home and went to yoga. It was awesome. Daughter and I are home alone. She's been sound asleep for hours. Son went to stay with mother in law until Christmas morning and husband working, on the road. Peace and quiet and no co dependently wondering where he is this evening.
Marty, I hope some sleep brings you relief. I know it helps me. Way to stay strong. You're awesome.
I'm going to have ice cream. Bimini, I too bought Danish butter cookies and thankfully didn't see almond Roca because the last time I bought it, I ate almost the entire tin in one sitting. I love the stuff!
