Thanks all! I've felt more positive today, and I haven't drank! I was walking around the supermarket this afternoon with my family and I craved a drink, and I was getting anxious. I've read about HALT though, and I realised I was really hungry, so I ate when I got home and I haven't thought much about drink since then. Another thing, I went for a jog this afternoon and witnessed a cat get hit by a car and die. It was horrific. I took it to a local vet so they could check for a microchip to inform the owner. Being a cat owner myself it was just awful there was nothing I could do for it, but watching it die like that, in so much pain... thankfully I wasn't on a hangover because that would have destroyed me. I think I dealt with it pretty well - I didn't drink though I felt upset. Poor little thing. Heartbreakingly sad.

Take it one day at a time, just concentrate on getting through each 24 hours sober, you've managed tonight and restart tomorrow morning when you get up. Think of it as your little challenge to not drink for one day at a time.
