Mera, I know how unsettling it is to be blindsided like that when things are going well. For me, it would happen if I was out walking or driving and I heard a specific song that brought back very sad memories.
You're doing the right thing by continuing to take care of your health and by simply understanding this is happening because you're under the weather, and things will get back to normal soon.

You know... we all get sick. And those days freaking suck! And when you are sober, you feel it even more when you are sick because when you are sober your body is not use to being hung over (very flu like IMO). So when you do get sick yeah its not any fun. But just remember that since you arent drinking, you will recover faster, and once this is over it will be magical again.

I made it through but am so glad for the day to be over. I'm in bed with a mug of hot chocolate. My kids are still chatting away, I really want them to go to sleep so I can nod off too.
