| First successful weekend
This is my first weekend without alcohol in a very long time. After making the decision to quit at the beginning of last week I thought I would find it really difficult but thanks to the support of my family and also people on these forums (and also a bout of man flu) I have not really thought about having a drink. Obviously there will be tests to come in the future but it's a step in the right direction.

Excellent stuff! I quit beginning of last week too, as you say it's very very much a step in the right direction :-)

Weekends are tough to not drink, I congratulate you! There will be times were your mind wants to drink. Create a plan and stick to it.
Best of luck to you

How great! I was sorry for myself in the beginning, and weekends were challenging. Eventually I realized I wasn't missing out on a thing. Glad you are doing well Jbs.
