Always something

On the 165 166 day cusp since its midnight.

Holidays were cool this time around but still had a heavy heart for family members that aren't here anymore.

This reallys just for anyone that is going through something that is personally hard and that is tough for them to deal with at the moment.

I, myself, have had a hard time the past few days with maintaining my "better attitude" toward sobriety. Things aren't going devastatingly bad or anything but its always something after the other and I feel like my best isn't good enough at times.

I get outta the hospital and back walking so I can work again
Response: Need to find a better job

Find a better "paying" job ( not necessarily a better one)
Response: Need to find one closer to you since you can't drive

Hard to be picky with no L's and a record

Trying to get help with finding lawyers (but people tell me one thing and then don't follow through)

Still gotta deal with medical bills, physical therapy, caring for my amputated area, etc. all while dealing with my addiction daily.

Not too mad about it I guess but sometimes it can get irritating.

So I don't know. Had a brief brief moment of "why not" . But I know that it would only make things worse.

Don't make things worse for yourself with a drink or drug if you can avoid it.

I know there are people out there that have it way way worse than I do. Hopefully we can meet our challenges with faith, and not fear, as our companion.

Prayers to everyone. I know I'm not on here very frequently. I'll try to stay more in touch.

Hey TNT

I've often shared it took me about a year to dig myself out of the hole my drinking left.

That can seem a long time to someone at the start of the journey but I reckon you're at the point now after nearly 6 months where you know it's really not a long time at all.....

Keep moving forward - keep doing the right things and things can do and will get better

Sorry to hear about the difficulties you're having, TNT. When things feel really overwhelming, I tell myself to just keep doing the right thing and keep putting one foot in front of the other. It's not amazing or fun, but eventually I start to see the results of my work. You will too.

I'm sorry you're struggling. I know it takes time and patience to get through some of the stuff, once we've stopped drinking. Hang on and be sure that it will get better.
