Me too.. really opened my eyes. My ego is so fricking active... lol.

Thanks for posting that Soberwolf.

A New Earth is a little easier to read than The Power of Now in my opinion. Highly recommended, as is Awareness by Anthony DeMello, a Jesuit priest. Similar concepts.

The talk without the music is here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DPO-uvrsjw4
I find the music a little too loud in places, it kinda overwhelms his voice at times.

Has it not been said, "The Kingdom of God is within you!" Not that you are God. Rather that you will find your way by looking within. Is it not so with recovery from alcoholism, the ability of the numbed regions of cerebral cortex to recover control of the primitive "lizard" areas of the brain to reverse the bodily changes which came about in the process of "adapting" to alcohol? Some feel that this is the power of someone or something greater than ourselves working within us. It may not work very well if we say "I did it all by myself! I needed no help! I'm not like the rest of you! Hurrah for me!"

W.

Thx for posting this piece Wolfie... I've read Tolle (The Power Of Now), been awhile since I read it; like. 7 years ago. I really liked it and got a lot out of it.

The little book "Stillness Speaks" by Tolle was very helpful to me during a health crisis some years ago.
