How is everyone doing today?
Hey guys 
I haven't been able to get to a meeting sinceWeds and I was thinking I would post here!
I visited my ex's family on Thursday and it was incredible! I as so happy to be out there. This family is full of drinker but I wasn't tempted at all !
However now I feel kind of weird. I had a few flashbacks when I wa out there to some not so good times with my ex. I am trying to get over that now and have had quite a bit of anxiety over it. I was invited back out today but I am choosing not to go, Its a party and it just won't be good to be around people drinking… and I find drunk people so annoying now haha even though.. I was the most annoying I'm sure!

Hi! I haven't met you yet so I'm not 100% on the story between you and your ex, but congrats on not being tempted, and good call on not returning. Sounds like you're being very strong about all this. I will say, of the anxiety you're feeling is in reference to anything you did, try to remember that we are always our own worst critics.
Today I'm really sick, that's all! Just wish it would go away I have yard work to do and really wanted to take my dog to the beach this weekend...so I'm just catching up on some reading.

Hi- Having a good day actually. Have the windows open (in mid Aug) because the weather is so gorgeous today. Walked my dogs and am now starting a project of painting the spare bedroom. Picking paint colors while my husband is spackling. Normal day. And that is just perfect for me!

Hi Mary -- good job on not drinking, and good call to avoid the next party!
I haven't been to a meeting since Tuesday, so it feels good to be checking in to SR today. I'll be exercising, resting, and doing household stuff today -- I look forward to a peaceful, sober day.

I'm doing great, Mary. The weather here is summer perfect and I am enjoying every minute of it.
I think you are making a good decision to not be around the drinking crowd today. And, I understand the flashback feeling. I have to remind myself that those are just thoughts and I can let them go.

Hi Mary. I'm doing well. Feeling a little bit sad about the loss of a dog that my daughter and I shared. I never knew I could miss an animal so much. I'm sure it will get better as time goes by.
