I've made an enormous mistake, help me stay calm
I have made mistakes of pretty large magnitude myself, as I'm sure most of us have. Once I accidentally deleted the registration data of a couple hundred students at the college I worked at. Many years ago I was painting a house of a good friend and knocked over and shattered an antique family heirloom piece of glassware. I could go on but each time I simply admitted what I did immediately to all involved parties and did my best to fix it. You can do the same - and you will find a solution. It may be a compromise but it will be a solution that everyone can and will live with.
The absolute WORST thing you could possibly do is "drink and forget it" as your AV is suggesting. Because if you do, you'll just be hungover tomorrow and still have the same problem to deal with...with the shame and guilt of drinking piled on top for good measure.

I recently quit again after 2 months of flirting with booze because something bad happened and I had already become emotionally unable to handle it as well as if I and just never started again. Thankfully I had almost 9 months before and could still remember how good it felt. Please do not make the same mistake I did. I am 7 days now but feel lightyears away from where I was 2 months ago. It ruins us

I can certainly relate. To err is human... and we ALL err. It sounds as if you are working your way through this challenge Merg..and that's all it is really..an emotional challenge for ALL concerned. Just keep taking deep breaths and swim on through. And you are right...waking up with a hangover...in shame for turning to the drink to escape...would be oh so much worse. You're walking through and you're doing it. It will all be resolved in due course.
Hang on and get this sorted out.
If the worst that happens is that it costs you some money, then so be it. It was a mistake, that's all, and something we all do from time to time.

I don't want to minimize this because I'm sure in the context of your job and the perceptions of your performance it is a big deal....
But also I want to remind you that in the broader context....
This is The Small Stuff.
It will be OK.
S**T Happens.
Take a breath, own up to your mistake, take steps to address it, move on. EVERYONE makes mistakes.
Even people who rent big expensive vacation villas.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Just apologize, let them know that YOU know they have a perfectly good reason to be upset, let them vent, try to make it right, and move on. I've messed up many times during my working years, when I validated a client's anger, they usually changed their tone and were usually very forgiving.
Oh and don't drink. This won't be an issue in 6 months, but if you drink, it could affect you for years. Hang in there. Everybody screws up...we're ALL human.

Hang in there, Mera. I hope you get a good night's sleep and sort it out quickly and efficiently in the morning.
Is there a similar property that can be booked for the second group from the 11th through the 14th, maybe at a discount for the inconvenience and then they can transfer to the aunt's on the 14th.
Mistakes do happen. A girl I know sent out a bunch of résumés seeking a job in "pubic administration" and was mortified that she missed the "L". She did get a job in her chosen field.
I'm glad you came here for support.
