Day 14~Two weeks!
Day 14~Two weeks!
Feeling so much better physically, but really down in the dumps today. Don't really know why, so what's my first thought.... Seriously?!?! So stupid and I'm at the store by myself. Help
Congrats on two weeks!
Taking that first drink is only going to lead to more drinks and more unhappiness. Don't do it! Think that first drink thru to the bitter end, to where it will lead. Buy some ice cream instead. Ice cream is a wonder drug.
Hang in there and don't be afraid to post every minute if you have to. A thought is just a thought, it has no real power on its own. Remember you do not have to take that first drink no matter what. The craving will go away, as will being in the dumps. You're in my thoughts and prayers...

And yay for ice cream!
Charliee so awesome that you have two weeks!!!!! Stay strong and face the feelings/emotions......trust me it will make you stronger in your sobriety. I spent so much of my life trying not to feel. It is tough at times and exhausting, but I am alive and real and with each day I am sober I get better and better at doing this life thing.

I felt the same around that point and I'm not much further than you after 24 days. I tend to forget how bad things were while drinking and think I'm ok to drink again. Have you made a list of reasons why you chose to stop drinking? I made a list and I just look at it when I get the urge to go back to that lousy lifestyle as a reminder of why I'm better off without that lifestyle. Good luck!
Great job Charliee. You're not alone in this journey. 2 weeks is awesome and it does get easier with every day that passes.
You are a strong person and have made it this far... keep going. You won't regret staying sober today.
Just keep the ice cream stocked up!

Hi, Charliee! That kind of thought is just a thought, so tell it "so what?" and don't give it any more attention.
Sobriety takes practice every day -- and that was an opportunity to practice.
Good job on continuing to walk your sober path -- you can do this!
