I just joined and just wanted to say hello. I quit the use of tobacco a month ago and I have started weening myself off beer as of two weeks ago. Both addictions are over 20 years old. At the end I was two cans of dip and 30 beers a day. Very hard and scary

I've had 30 beers a day , or its equivalent, plenty before. That's a miserable way to live.

Over a year and a half ago I finally embraced sobriety and it's not at all miserable. In fact it's pretty joyful.
