Day 1, again.

I gave it a go of trying to be a social drinker and it just doesn't work. I woke up today with regret, shame, sadness, disappointed and I feel like a failure. I've drank a few times in the last week and I just don't get why?!? Ughhhh. Also, I had "friends" over last night, and I ended up with $400 missing from a drawer in my room and got in a fight with my friend and I don't even know the reason. Talk about an awful day.

Glad you're back, Stecar. Just being a social drinker was never a real possibility for me either. Hope you'll take advantage of all the great wisdom and support to be found here.

I'm sorry you had a bad night. I accepted that I couldn't go back to social drinking and really, it's made my life easier.

Maybe ditch the "friends." Doesn't sound like they are people you Will find supportive. Good luck.

I went round and round in circles for a long time trying to prove I didn't have a problem and could only have a few, but in the end when I finally parted ways with alcohol on a permanent basis life started to take a turn for the better!!
