6 Days Today
Hello All! As the title states, this is my 6th day sober from alcohol 
and I am extremely grateful to have it. Previously, I had put together 33 days of sobriety with no sweat at all and then ruined it by thinking I could control my drinking. Of course, I couldn't because I'm an alcoholic. So, once I got myself into some (non legal) trouble again for the umpteenth time, I have once again put down the bottle and am starting over. I didn't really participate in AA or any other form of help last time but this time has been a little more difficult than the last, so I thought I'd go ahead and reach out for some people who have struggles like mine. I've been doing online AA meetings for now, but want to attend face to face meetings soon. Doing a lot of reading about recovery.
I look forward to learning from people who have really put some time into their sobriety as well as from what other newbies in recovery are doing to make their own beginning go easier and to share what is working for me with others who are struggling. One day at a time!
