Smile Sobriety rocks!

To all the newcomers and everybody struggling:

Sobriety feels really good.

Let's stay strong together!

"If you're going through hell, keep going." - Winston Churchill

It's worth it.

Never thought I would ever admit it to myself but it really does ROCK! I had a close call last night! But I chose sobriety and always will cause today I had a fantastic sober day!

I'm glad you survived a close call!

I find that getting through a bad craving really makes me appreciate sobriety even more. And nothing beats the morning after... Clear headed, ready for another day feeling proud of myself, not anxious and guilty like it used to be. Those mornings make a world of difference.

I used to harbor doubts that it could ever be fun, ever be comfortable, ever feel like I wasn't 'broken'.....

Those doubts were all wrong.

They were all my addiction talking.

Sobriety is joyous, fun, comfortable, strong.... It isn't 'broken' - it is the exact opposite.

It was tough at times to get through the doubts... But it was infinitely worth it.

For me, at day 14, one of the best things is the SLEEP!! I no longer wake up at 4 am and lie there until sunrise... I don't wake up with a panic attack, heart in my mouth and mind racing...I fall asleep like a baby and feel that surge of relaxation as I hit my pillow...loving it!
