Bumpy start to day 9

Not feeling good about today. Anxiety has already kicked in and I don't even start work for another hour. Also, I was a little rough this morning with one of my kids about homework. I gave her a harsh lecture. Homework needs to get done of course and I counted on her to finish it, but now I am sitting here feeling bad about how I handled it and can't wait to see her after school. Blah!

Hang in there with the anxiety and hopefully you will feel better. Try to remember that you can get through this. And, we all make mistakes by being too harsh with the kids at times. Give her hug when she gets home!

Thank you. My emotions are just all over the place right now. It's a massive roller coaster ride.

Hi, hang in there. Take deep breaths and hug your daughter when she gets home. I was short with my two children this morning too. They were fighting and someone ended up crying. It happens. Getting ready and everyone out the door is stressful in the morning. Prepare as much as possible the night before.

Hugs

Day nine was my toughest day by far as far as dealing with others went.

The emotions are just super magnified when in early sobriety. It dies down in time - hang on. Your daughter will be okay. I highly recommend ice cream for the two of you. Helps with cravings for alcohol and helps with emotional boo boos.

Hang in there, Love. At least you noticed that you may have been to hard on her and maybe can make it up this afternoon with a good Mommy and Daughter evening out.

I'm sure she has long since forgotten the lecture and moved on with her school day as I sit at my work desk still somewhat beating myself up over it. I'm just too emotional. Ice cream tonight for us does sound like a great idea.

Officially passed the 9 day mark in hours at least. 4 more hours of work. I took the day off on Friday, so I'll have a nice alone day tomorrow and then the weekend with my kids. Hoping to be feeling dramatically better by Monday morning. "Hoping" is the key word. I'll probably be on here all day tomorrow honestly.

LS, great job on passing the 9 day mark. It will get easier, I promise.

Lean on the SR community as much as you can early on. It helped me considerably.

Your daughter will benefit from all of the effort you are putting in right now.

Stay strong!
