Trigger times

Made it 30 days! Feeling really good and giving this week a go with out Antabuse.. Yesterday and today were particularly bad. I'm a school teacher and work with a pretty challenging population of students. I love them to death, but man, come 2 o'clock av is screaming in my head. On days like today I'm wayyy too tired to go work out which has been my usual distraction, but don't want to just go home and sit on my couch. To top it all off, we're taking the kids on a 3 day camping trip. It's going to be fun, but it's 24/7 kids (I don't have any yet and am not ready!) Today I just wanted to go unwind in my favorite bar and talk to some adults about adult things. It was a miserable afternoon. But, I didn't give in. Took my dog for a walk and felt a little more relieved since I'm home and it's getting later in the evening. I know it's only been a month but feeling those cravings every day has been not been fun. Hoping it'll get easier. Thanks for letting me vent.

Congrats on 30 days Angel!!

Since I'm a newbie I don't have much in the Sage Advice Dept, except to say hang in there. You can do this.

And you will, I know.

D, thanks! I love the play the tape to the end one. I need to remember those terrible times and get home and take my pup for a walk. Laughing with my fiancÚ has helped a ton. He's been super supportive. Thanks for the reminders. I'll check those when I'm started to throw a pity party for myself. You are very wise.

Careful about entertaining such thoughts on the week where you are, " this week a go without Antabuse."

Many a relapse has started when the Antabuse is stopped.
