Hi Buckley.

I want you to know it IS possible. I was exactly where you are 3 months ago. Except I was drinking TWO bottles of wine before I would chug the vodka. I wish like heck I would have stopped when my baby (she's now 18) was little. But I continues the misery for long thereafter.

You can do this. You really can. You really really can.

Hi.
My early recovery included meetings at which I was told to keep coming, so I repeat KEEP COMING!

During that period I heard things I needed to hear and becoming desperate enough to get honest with myself about my drinking AND ACCEPT the fact I could no longer drink in safety.
My sobriety had to come first, if not all is lost permanently. A few things that helped was to remember when I drank good things ended, I didn’t need to drink even if my A$$ fell off and if I didn’t drink I wouldn’t have to try to get sober AGAIN.

BE WELL

Hi Buckley

You can absolutely do this

You'll need a plan tho - what have you been doing to try and stay sober so far?

Buckley, do you have any support in looking after your little boy? Besides your Mum I mean. Dealing with post-partum depression and looking after a baby on your own is a big ask. Have you investigated community support?
