Hang in there. The second and third month were the worst for me. After that things got better. I'm at almost 9 months now and the thinking is still improving. Just give it time and don't trip yourself out with stinking thinking.
Sometimes I still miss the booze: it helped me relax and made me happier, it seemed.
You came here for a reason ipaid - alcohol was definitely not working for you.
Don;t let yourself start to romanticise it - or worse present it as a solution to the problem you're feeling.
