Hi from leb
Hi guys,
I'm having an off day today. (About 6 weeks sober now) I'm feeling grouchy, grumpy and seem to be easily hurt by some comments from others. Nearly burst into tears over something very small and silly. I'm not depressed just seem to be emotional. (I rarely cry)
I'm not feeling like drinking or anything and I'm sleeping well. I am thankful for that as I know a lot of others are struggling.
I have been trying to exercise which makes me feel really good but seem to be set up to fail. I had a pulled muscle in my leg 2-3 weeks ago. Now seem to have put out my lower back and neck!
I think I will go to sleep (its only 2pm - lucky my day off!) Hope to be in better frame of mind when I wake up
Thanks for listening

Those early weeks and months can be an emotional roller coaster. the emotions will level off, leb, in time.
I am sorry about the pulled leg muscle, and your back and neck pain; that's a bad run - but, wow, 6 weeks is great!!!!!

Oh, Leb, I do understand your frustration. When I first gave up drinking I was determined to shift my addiction to exercise, but two weeks later I tore a calf muscle and could hardly walk. Since then, I've had a frozen shoulder and a strained tendon in my foot. But I stayed sober and tried to make the most of my non-injured time! It has certainly made me appreciate my body and be even more determined to look after it.
And staying sober through such frustration has meant that I've pretty much sailed through the 'good' times
Sounds to me like you're doing great, my friend xxx
