I went through something similar to what you experienced and am glad you made the right decision to flush it.

Im considering throwing away/donating my beautiful wine glasses as they are a reminder of my past and a possible unforseen trigger. Im still unsure whether or not I will because I can still use them for sparkly water and teas (not to mention they were wedding gifts). Im leaning towards donation though.

Good job and I know from experience just how hard it was to dump that. Chain smoking? Well, I still smoke. First things first for me. You did well.

Dump the glassware, too. You don't need it.

For an alcoholic like me there is no such thing as a "nice wine glass." It's like admiring the Hangman's noose because it's tied so well.

Get rid of the glassware.

Thanks so much for all the support guys it's really what convinced me to dump it, I've had a great day at work and have an AA meeting then dinner out tonight with a sober friend and I just realised I probably would've missed all that if I drank, so feeling pretty grateful to actuallybe sober and aware of such a nice day
I've decided the glasses are going too, I think it's part of hanging on to that 'someday...' thinking, which then I find makes it easier to drink today (if I'm going to maybe eventually anyway..)
No more drinking for me

Dump it. You won't wake tomorrow and think "Damn, I wish I would have had that wine."

Just saw you dumped it! Great job!
