How long and how much has he been drinking? How long ago did he stop? What are his symptons?

Do you have support for yourself? You might check out AlAnon for you.

Don't post on the internet, take him to a Dr. It will be more effective.

There's a forum on here for drug use where you may find more people experienced in opiate withdrawal. If your worried take him to a doctor just to get checked out. Sorry can't be much help myself as don't have any experience with drug withdrawal. You'll get lots of support here though xx

I hope your husband seeks medical care if you and he are concerned.

You are at the right site and we have forums for Friends & Families of Substance Abusers. You can also check out NarAnon in your area as a support for you.

Hi kymlc ..I supported my partner through this too. I'm thinking of you...Don't take too much on, its strong, powerful and can be dangerous to withdraw from. Don't be shy about getting some medical advice. PM me if you need to. Thoughts are with you

I would post on the " Substance Abuse" forum...there is a post from someone who recently went through opiate withdrawal.. you can gain some insight on the process. Best wishes
